They were once so close they considered each other TV ‘husband and wife’, but now it seems relations between Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid could have soured. Known for his harsh opinions of celebrities and politicians, Piers, 57, recently hit out at his former colleague, labelling her ‘wokey Susanna’.
Piers’ outburst came during a recent appearance on Spencer Matthews’ Big Fish podcast, in which he was chatting to the former reality star about his desire to end cancel culture. But during the discussion about his thoughts, Piers seemed to turn against Susanna. He said, ‘I don’t think my opinions are that controversial. In fact, when I was at Good Morning Britain and would spew them every day, we would often do polls.’
Piers continued, ‘Susanna Reid would say, “That’s completely disgusting and outrageous,” and I’d say, “Let’s do a poll.” And we’d do one and 90% would favour me and 10% would be in favour of poor old wokey Susanna. And she’d say, “Just because I only got 10% doesn’t mean I’m wrong!”’
